Voila!!  I finished my hairpin lace scarf!!  This is made of ribbon yarn ordered from Yarnparadise.com.  I can make two of these as I use 60 yards for each and it was 120 yard skein.  They cut it for me so it was divided into two skeins.

My iris are blooming and I wanted to put a picture of our yard on my blog!

My next project!!  A friend from church found this chair for me!!  I told her I'd clean it up, stain it and cane it for her grandson...she just has to pay for the cane!

This is a hairpin lace scarf that I'm learning to make at ELM  at First Methodist, Marietta, GA. for people 50 and over.  We meet on Tuesday in Jan., Feb., April, May, Sept. and October.  My tatting friends had taken the class and since I couldn't make that they showed me in tatting class today!  Plan to make a few!!
I learned to French cane and cane Herringbone here.  Spring quarter, now, I'm taking rush caning.

My next caning project!  This chair belongs to my best friend since third grade at Magnolia Elementary School!  While visiting her in Spartanburg, recently, she asked me to cane it for her!  Glad to!  $1.50 a hole for French caning plus the cost of the cane.

Nick was finishing his breakfast and called me to come look at this beautiful bird on our feeder.  We think it is an indigo bunting...first one seen here.

Craft Day at St. Andrews Methodist Church!!  Now in my yard!!

My latest caning project!  This little rocker I found at an antique shop in Andalusia, Ala. while visiting friend, Judy.  Caned it and finished it yesterday!!  Yippee!!  My old pc is on the blink so it's taken me a while to learn to load pics on this laptop.  Started classes back at ELM, first Methodist Church Marietta, GA, Am learning rush caning on a stool and of course, enjoying my tatting class and friends!  This is my honey, Hurston, holding the finished project!

March 31, 2012 ...our arbor covered with Jekyll Crossvine plant...it looks like the wild trumpet flower that you see across the South .  BEAUTIFUL!
