Maria Cross!  Except for a picot or two missing, (me skipping them) this was a good cross to make!

The Santa Fe Cross...about got that one perfect!!  That connecting the last ring to the middle of first ring was tricky but now I have it!!

Hey Friends...learned to make yoyos since I was off line!!  Daughter Allison here and has me back online!  Class resumed April 2 at ELM, First Methodist, Marietta, GA.  Taking 'Decluttering.'  That should help me a lot!  Also, a gardening class and choice books to read with info about each.  Looking forward to that.  Have been celebrating Nick's birthday with all family and friends here for the weekend.  Think I'll post that, too!  Cheers!

Blogging friends...I am having trouble posting my pictures ...I used to take the pics from my camera but not able to do this with changes on the blog.

Learned to make the Sashay scarf and did five of these and also the Patons piroutte scarf.  Wish I could share that!

This is a 'dazzler' I made with 30 4mm bicone Swarovski beads.  It has been a hit with all the girls in my family and friends, too.  I believe the directions are online.  My tatting teacher taught us how to put the beads together to make this beauty!

OK, my second try on this tatted edging on the hankie...still in the learning stage!

OK..still not perfect but a lot better than the one I posted earlier.  It's the Santa Fe Cross by Pam McCormack.  We got this in our tatting class back in the Spring but with two pages of directions, I was hesitant to try it!  Will keep at it until I feel I have it mastered!

Hi, Fellow bloggers...this is my first attempt, poorly done, of the Santa Fe Cross....It is two pages of directions and some where, right at the start, I erred!!  Will try again one day.  However, this Tuesday is our last day of classes, Show and Tell, at ELM, First Methodist Church, Marietta, GA.  I had hoped to put this in but no, will wait until classes start again in January and perhaps will have this mastered!  Will share my wreaths and the stool that I finished this time.  Also, pictures from my Photography class will be shared.  (Not sure the REAL photographers will approve.  :)  However, taking a picture of a red tail hawk on my deck was a real feat, I think!

My stool with rush caning...started this in April and finished all but about 2 inches so shamed myself into finishing it Sunday afternoon.  Richard, one of the caning instructors, put the final tack in to hold the cane in place and mixed up shellac and alcohol, equal parts, and I painted that on, carefully dabbing the brush in all the holes to make sure all cane was covered underneath and on top!  Finished this today at ELM and in time too, to make my Photography class!

My most recent caning job...done for my best childhood friend, Kay, in Spartanburg, S.C.  This is my favorite caning work...I also do herringbone, as seen in Brumby rockers, and find that much easier and  quicker, but French caning is the one of which I feel most proud.  My uncle, after retiring, worked to restore furniture  but would have to take the chairs to be caned 70 miles from home to have that done.  After I retired I decided to learn to French cane and have done many.  I have caned chairs for all our kids, grandkids, and my husband's sisters and brothers, too, and great nieces and nephews.  A legacy of sorts!!

My newest tatting project...a pattern given us at ELM tatting class.  It is named Peggy...not hard but tedious for me!  Finally, I'm ALMOST pleased with this one!!

Variations of the wreath I finally feel good about!  Show and Tell at Elm is the last Tuesday in October so will take one of these to share!

OK, got my order of Christmas green from Handyhands.com so was able to make this in the color is was supposed to be.  Fun to make.

Aha!!  Feel I finally conquered this angel tatting pattern...Lil Angel is the name.  Directions to tatting are difficult, I feel.  I presume the pattern writer thinks the tatter knows where and when to connect.  So, here it is!

Aah, some better...practice does make perfect!  This pattern bamboozled me and a fellow tatter but our tatting teacher, who wrote a book on tatting, got it straightened out for us!  The first one I made was the red one, just before this one.  This one is much preferred!

Hello Fellow Bloggers...have been off doing other things when I should have been practicing my tatting...this is a new pattern with Josephine knots but my first so not TOO bad!!  Have started classes back at ELM, First Methodist Church, Marietta, GA.  So, back to tatting!  I do enjoy it!!

My 'cat and mouse' tatting piece.  This was a learning experience.  Now, to attach it to something...maybe a cat lover's handkerchief!

Alright!  Getting a little better with each one I tat!  Happy 4th, fellow bloggers!  We, Americans,  are the luckiest people in the world!

Step 5!  Got the cane earlier in  the week and with the temp. up to 103 where we live, stayed in this afternoon and finished this 'mule ear' chair.
