O.K!  Another idea from ELM.  My neighbor had made this scarf in her class there and showed me how.  Buy an extra large tee shirt, this one came from thrift store, lay a dinner plate on top, draw around it.  Cut out the circle and then, like you peel an apple, just keep cutting until the circle you cut out is gone.  Then stretch each one!  Voila!  A scarf!
